Report on compliance and change activity by business service

Having created a smart server group that contains all the servers associated with a business service, a business manager might want to assess the change and compliance activity within that part of the company.

Before you begin

Make sure you have created a smart group for the business service you want to report on. For information about how to do this, see Scenario - group servers by business service.

To report on compliance and change activity

• To assess change activity, run multiple Snapshot Jobs on the smart group for the business service. The job results show changes that were made since the last Snapshot Job.
   
• To assess compliance, run a Compliance Job on the smart group for the business service.

For example, to assess compliance and change activity within Human Resources, you can run Snapshot Jobs and Compliance Jobs on the Human Resources smart group.
