Verifying a peer or embedded RSSO installation
To verify that the installation of a peer was successful, you can verify that the services are running and launch Grid Manager.
To verify that the embedded Remedy Single Sign-On (RSSO) installation was successful, verify that the associated component services are running and launch RSSO. Embedded RSSO can be installed with the repository, CDP, or HA-CDP, so you can verify that those services are running.
To verify that the services or processes are running
- Locate the following services or processes for
- Windows BMC Atrium Orchestrator Repository
- BMC Atrium Orchestrator Configuration Distribution Peer
- BMC Atrium Orchestrator Lightweight Activity Peer
- BMC Atrium Orchestrator Activity Peer
- BMC Atrium Orchestrator Dashboard Server
- If the service or process is not running, use one of the following methods to start it:
- On a Microsoft Windows peer, in the Services panel, right-click the applicable service, and select Start:
- On a Linux and Solaris peer, in the console, type the following command, in which AO_HOME represents the peer installation directory:
AO_HOME/bin/server.sh start
To verify that embedded Remedy Single Sign-On (RSSO) starts
You can verfiy that the embedded RSSO starts for each instance installed (with the repository, CDP, or HA-CDP).
- In a web browser, launch RSSO using the the following format to type the URL: https://fullyQualifiedDomainName:webServerPort/rsso
- fullyQualifiedDomainName is the host name appended with the domain name used to install RSSO.
webServerPort is the port number entered during installation.
The RSSO logon screen appears.
- Log on using the RSSO credentials (see Installing-the-repository for default login credentials for Remedy Single Sign-On).
To verify that Grid Manager starts
- In a web browser, launch Grid Manager using the the following format to type the URL: https://fullyQualifiedDomainName:webServerPort/baocdp
- fullyQualifiedDomainName is the host name appended with the domain name used to install the CDP.
webServerPort is the port number entered during installation.
- Log on to Grid Manager using the BAO login credentials (see Installing-the-repository for default login credentials).
The Status tab shows the grid that you set up when you installed the CDP.
