Audit records data store

Audit records are captured in a local data store on each configuration distribution peer (CDP) and are uploaded to the database after the database is configured. Information is written to the local store beginning with the installation of the CDP.

The database configuration applies to the entire environment and is shared among the CDPs in that environment. All the audit data uploaded from any of the CDPs goes to the same database.

Audit records information continues to be collected in the local data stores on each CDP. It is uploaded from the local data store on the CDP to the database in accordance with the upload interval set in the auditing configuration, generally within a few seconds after the records are created.

Transferring audit records to the database does not use synchronization points.

You can access the audit records in the following ways:

  • The audit records database
The database includes all available audit records.
  • From the Grid Manager application, select the Manage tab, and then select the Config Report tab.
This report includes changes to adapter and peer configuration audit information.
  • From the Grid Manager application, select the Manage tab, and then select the History tab.
This tab provides module activity information.

Note

Audit information related to user logon/logout and job (process) submit is not available in the Grid Manager UI.
