Troubleshooting the Amazon S3 adapter
This topic provides information about troubleshooting issues that are specific to the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Application Adapter for Amazon S3.
Message: HTTP transport error: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
Explanation: The Amazon S3 application redirects you to a secure URL (HTTPS) and expects the target's certificate to be present in the truststore (cacerts file). The required certificate is present in the default cacerts file when BMC Atrium Orchestrator is installed.
User response: If you have tweaked the cacerts file and as a result the required certificate has been removed, install the corresponding certificate into the cacerts file.
