Prerequisites for the NetApp Storage monitor adapter

Set up appropriate notifications and alarms so that SNMP traps are generated by the application:

  1. On the NetApp client console, click Notifications and then click Alarms.
  2. Click Add to start the Add Alarm wizard.
  3. On each page of the wizard, enter the appropriate information.
  4. Click Finish to commit your choices and close the Add Alarm wizard.
  5. Verify the creation and configuration of the alarm by viewing the results that are displayed in the Alarms window.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
