Module for the Hyper-V Server 2012 adapter

Each operation supported by the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Application Adapter for Hyper-V Server has a corresponding process in the adapter module.

Top-level processes

The top-level processes in the Project Explorer window executes the following version-specific Hyper-V Manager process:

  • Create Items
  • Find Items
  • Perform Operations

Setup_Validation directory 

The processes in the Setup_ Validation directory contain sample values for request elements. You can change these sample values to reflect the values in your environment. A process is specified to test each supported method of executing operations on the Hyper-V Server.

Utilities directory

The Utilities directory contains helper and constructor processes. The functional processes require complex XML inputs. You can generate these complex XML inputs by using the constructor processes in the Utilities directory. The Utilities directory contains the following processes:

  • Create Adapter Request
  • Execute Adapter Request
  • Execute Request
  • Invoke Adapter Request
  • Item Type Error Reporting
  • Operation Name Error Reporting
  • Set Defualt Adapter Name
  • Version Error Reporting

Version directory

The v2012 version directory contains processes specific to Hyper-V Server 2012 R2. A process is provided for each supported operation. The v2012 version directory supports the following processes:

  • Basic_VM_Operations
    • Find Virtual Machine Details
    • Set Virtual Machine State
  • VM_Configuration_Operations
    • Add_Hardware
      • Add Virtual Drive
      • Add Virtual Hard Disk
      • Add Virtual NIC
    • Create Virtual Machine
    • Mount Virtual Disk
    • Update_Hardware
      • Update Virtual Machine Memory
      • Update Virtual Machine Processors
