Before you begin installing the Discovery Synchronization run book

The following table lists those BMC Software products that must be installed and operating prior to implementing the run book. The list in the following table reflects the product versions that have been tested as compatible at the time of this release. For up-to-date information, see the product compatibility matrix on the Customer Support website at http://www.bmc.com/support.

Required software products

Review Release notes and notices for updated information about this version. This section also contains information about flashes, service packs, and resolutions that were issued for this version after its release. To enable the solution, you must have installed version 7.6.03 or later of Access Manager and the repository, and both applications must be running.

The computer from which you run the installation program must have network access to the repository computer. 

The BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform components provide the configuration distribution peer and the tools required for creating a grid. Installing the platform components is a prerequisite for installing BMC Atrium Orchestrator Content, which includes adapters, modules, and run books. 

The BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform installation program enables you to install and configure the BMC Atrium Orchestrator CDP, BMC Atrium Orchestrator Operator Control Panel, graphing server, and Access Manager components. 

The platform installation program enables you to install components in a pre-existing web server environment or in a new web server.

The grid distributes information across the BMC Atrium Orchestrator components.
