BMC Atrium Orchestrator Application Adapter for VMware Infrastructure

The application adapter enables BMC Atrium Orchestrator workflows to perform specialized functions and to interact with VMware Infrastructure by providing an interface between the workflows and VMware Infrastructure.

BMC Atrium Orchestrator application adapter for VMware Infrastructure consists of an actor and a monitor adapter and workflows.

Actor adapter: The actor adapter performs specialized functions and serves as an interface to interact with VMware Infrastructure. The actor adapter executes operations on VMware Infrastructure by using the VMware SDK API. To execute the operations, the adapter invokes web service calls on the VMware SDK API.

Monitor adapter: The event monitor adapter uses the VMware SDK API to listen for events, including Vmotion events, that are generated on VMware Infrastructure. An event is evaluated by rules and can trigger specific workflows when the rule criteria are met.

BMC Atrium Orchestrator Application Adapter for BMC Remedy Action Request System

The BMC Atrium Orchestrator application adapter for BMC Remedy Action Request System is an application adapter that interacts with the BMC Remedy Action Request System application. The actor adapter provides operations that use pure Java API to create, modify, find, and delete entries in the BMC Remedy AR System application.

BMC Atrium Orchestrator HTTP adapter

The HTTP adapter sends an HTTP or HTTPS request and processes the response to return the web page in XML format. This adapter does not support multiple configuration nodes. The HTTP adapter might use a standard HTTP proxy server for establishing outbound HTTP connections. The HTTP adapter supports only basic authentication for the proxy server that is used. You must install and configure the HTTP adapter on the grid, and import the adapter utilities into BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio.
