Comments
This content fails when installing against a Remedy 8 server.
The documentation states that it's certified with Remedy 9 but should really state that it's certified with Remedy 9 and above but is not backwards compatible with Remedy8.
Hi Peter,
What content are your trying to install? Is it a run book?
Hi Shweta,
Yes, the service desk automation run book.
Hi Peter,
The Service Desk Automation run book supports only Remedy 9. It's mentioned here Installation roadmap for BMC Service Desk Automation run book.
I think maybe it wasn't clear in the docs. I will update the docs to make sure it's evident that the supported version is 9.0.
Did you install the run book with 9.0? Have you used it?
Thanks!
Hi Shweta,
Thanks for the info. I am building a new environment using the latest SSO & AO versions then importing modules from an existing production system.
We are not going to use the service desk automation runbook for a while - I was just importing it ready for future developments and also because it includes many modules that we are using.
I imported it into a Remedy 9 system first as a test. Since this worked I didn't do much more digging into the documentation so didn't notice the info you provided above.
It would be good if the documentation did make it more obvious that only V9 is supported.
Cheers
Peter
Hi Peter,
Thank you for the information. I added a note before the table that says that the Supported versions mentioned in the column are the only ones supported.
If you do implement the Service Desk Automation run book in future, please do give us a feedback about the documentation.
Thanks!
